The bug that irks you, the yellow butterfly

that catches your eye,

and the furred thing with sharp teeth

that repels you -- are all in your moment

of history.

I say drop a mouse into a poem and watch him probe his way out or walk inside the poem’s room and feel the walls for a light switch

• what i thought was interesting- i really liked how both authors used many analogies and used a lot of visuals to help compel the poem onto the reader. 
• what do they mean- the first poem is about conquering your day and your life as a whole. to not back down over challenges but also take time to reflect. the second one talks about poems and what they are trying to say. it talks about how it can be challenging to understand poetry.

  Both of the poems are more upbeat and are like someone is lecturing you about the art of yourself and poetry.
