Liliena Storer Lit and Perf Curious Incident review Play Review I saw The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nighttime for the first time on Wednesday the thirteenth of November in the black box theater at Cheshire Academy. To break it down the play starts with Wellington, the dog, dead on center stage. Christopher sits nearby as the actors portray how his mind works by moving around the stage. Mrs. Shears finds her dead dog and all hell breaks loose which leads to Christopher going to the police office. After a few arguments, Christopher is finally picked up and promises to mind his own business. His curiosity gets the best of him and he ends up walking around his neighborhood trying to find the murderer. notes on 94-99

Crushing Christopher’s dreams – he wasn’t to do a bunch of things but people won’t let him. • Hard for him to express himself. • Christopher is always worried that someone is going to hurt him. • Christopher has his own room and it seems like it would be in a condo area – but he has to share a bathroom with people and he’s not happy about it. • He’s very special aware – he can describe exactly about where he lived – form the smell to the vibe and how it felt. • His rat died – very old for a rat. • Christopher want to live with Siobhan but he can’t because she is his teacher not his mom. • Christopher gets a dog named Sandy. • Christopher can’t take him, so the dog stays with his father for safety. • Christopher got an A on his test –t he one he was freaking - out over, everyone’s proud of him for that. • He wants to go into high level classes because he thinks the low level classes are too easy. • Apparently he found out who killed Wellington.

Both groups talked about the effects of music but didn’t talk about the imagery. Both groups decided to add background music or sound for more of an effect. Both groups also decided to use a speaking portion and have some kind of movement or creation to pull the script together. I personally like Dashas video the best as I felt like it captured the main point of the poem and it was very calming to watch. The performa...
